According to Column 2, Section 7.3, of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, this study does not need to be conducted if the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling. Alkenyl succinic anhydrides of carbon chain length 8-20 decompose at temperatures from 180 to 260 oC. The registered substance is a waxy solid which melts at 60.4 oC and is expected to decompose at temperatures well below 400 oC. The criteria is met and an adaptation to the Annex VII data requirement applies.
