Details on preparation and application of test substrate:
-Preparation:
70 g test sample were added to 2 L ultra- pure water and vigorously stirred (700 rpm) for 72 h followed by filtration with 0.45 µm membrane to prepare the water saturated solutions as the stock solution (measured to be 14500 mg/L) used in the test. The other test solutions were prepared by diluting the stock solution.
- Procedure:
Clean quartz sand (about 220 g) were added to homemade inert plastic boxes, then 60-65 mL test solution was poured to mixed to prepare the test matrix. The test plant seeds exposed in the test substrate surface. stamped and put into artificial climate chamber.
