According to structural properties, hydrolysis of 2-aminoethanol is not expected. In addition, the substance is readily biodegradable.


After evaporation or exposure to the atmosphere, the substance is expected to photodegrade rapidly by reaction with OH-radicals with a half-life of 10.74 hours (24 -h day, 0.5E06 OH/cm³; EPIWin, AOP v1.92, 2014). The substance is within the model's applicability domain.
