A GLP, O.E.C.D. 305 Bioconcentration study was conducted in rainbow trout with a dose-feed modification. The results of this study demonstrated that the Bioconcentration Factor (BCF) for Vinyl Neodecanoate ranged from a low BCF of 1100 to a high of 1390. This BCF range is an overestimation due to Vinyl Neodecanoate's low water solubility. In addition, Vinyl Neodecanoate was mostly cleared (i.e., >95%) by the fish by day 14 of depuration. The Growth-corrected half-life was 2.6 days. Therefore, the calculated BCF values are highly conservative estimates and possibly inappropriate for use in standard environmental fate models.
