Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Modeling using the U.S.E.P.A's AOPWIN ver. 1.92 for photodegradation found that Half-life = 0.326 Days (12-hr day; 1.5E6 OH/cm³) Half-life = 3.912 Hours. Using HydroWin ver 1.67 (part of U.S.E.P.A. EPIWIN package) to estimate base/acid-catalysed hydrolysis at 25 deg C the results were: Kb Half-life at pH 8: 27.3 days, Kb Half-life at pH 7: 273 days and Total Kb for pH > 8 : 2.94E-001 L/mol-sec. Due to the tertiary (neo) carbon bonding and branched alkyl chain structure, it is anticipated that vinyl neodecanoate is strongly resistant to UV degradation. Vinyl Neodecanoate will be resistant to hydrolysis because the tertiary carbon (neo) structure and alkyl groups are known to be hydrolytically stable.
