Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Preliminary study:
The percentage hydrolysis of test item was calculated as 2.1, 8.4 and 1.1% at pH 4.0, 7.0 and pH 9.0
solutions after 5 days (Table 2). The chromatograms all showed the same peak pattern as the
representative LC/MS/MS chromatograms given in Figure 2 to 4.
Test performance:
At preliminary test (Tier I), the percentage hydrolysis of the Lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide were
2.1, 8.4 and 1.1% at pH 4.0 7.0 and 9.0, respectively, indicating that little degradation was observed
between 0 and 5 days at each buffer solution in the preliminary test.
Based on these results, Lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide was considered hydrolytically stable
(t0.525˚C >1year) in acidic / alkaline / neutral conditions.
