Conclusion on classification

On the basis of the available data on the aquatic toxicity of the substance FAT 40849/A TE (the nominal test concentration in fish was 50 mg/L; the EC50 value in the study with daphnids was 100 mg/L), the substance is to be classified for environmental hazard with "Category Chronic 3" in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 286/2011 of 10 March 2011 (2nd amendment of CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008). No pictogram is used. No signal word is used. The appropriate hazard statement is "H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects". The appropriate precautionary statements are P273 and P501.
