Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

BUA report:

In one publication, the reported log Pow values of o-chloroaniline of 2.0 resulted in a calculated a bioconcentration factor of 20 and thus a weak bioaccumulation potential for free o-chloroaniline was indicated. The calculation was performed according to Ross and Welch (log BCF = 0.76 log Pow - 0.23).

A second publication reports a BCF of 4 from a Pow value of 1.92. This publication does not state to the calculation equation.

The MITI list categorizes o-chloroaniline to be not or weakly bioaccumulative in fish.

There is one indication that o-chloroaniline may be bound covalently to macromolecules in the muscle tissue of carp.
