In the key study, the boiling point was determined to be 49.2 °C under a dynamic method at 760 mm Hg (101.3 kPa). It is unknown if the study was conducted in accord under an OECD, ASTM, or ISO guideline or GLP guidelines. This study is considered reliable with restrictions. In the supporting study, following the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice, the determination of the boiling point of CAS# 756-13-8 was determined to be 48 °C and was performed in accordance with European Economic Community (EEC), EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC, Part A.2 "Boiling temperature", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992 and Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), OECD guideline no. 103: "Boiling point", July 27, 1995. The boiling point for the test substance was measured from a DSC-curve. The measured boiling temperature depends on the atmospheric pressure. The determination of the correction factor to standard pressure was cited in the report as beyond the scope of this study, and the atmospheric pressure was not recorded. Therefore correction was not applied to the boiling temperature observed. Because the atmospheric pressure was not recorded in the supporting study, it is considered a supporting study. The boiling point reported in the key study is considered to be the more accurate value.
