Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

One reliable key study is available on the registered reaction mass and experimentally, the test item decomposes with partial boiling over the temperature range of 194 to 246 °C (467 to 519 K) at ambient pressure and therefore the boiling point is not required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination of the key study was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) according to Method A2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008, Method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995 and GLP. No deviation from the guidelines was observed during the test.

The apparatus used for the test is a DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter Mettler). The temperature accuracy of the DSC was assessed using a reference standard. After this verification, the apparatus was considered acceptable for use.

The test item has been determined to decompose with partial boiling, over the temperature range of 194 to 246 °C (467 to 519 K) at ambient pressure (100.0 kPa) and therefore the boiling point is not required.
