Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic plants.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
245 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
57.8 mg/L

Additional information

Acute toxicity to aquatic plants was investigated in a static GLP-approach according to OECD guideline 201 using Desmodesmus subspicatus as test organsism (BASF/Dr. U. Noack Laboratories 2012). after 72 hours of exposure an EC50 of 245 mg/L was estimated while the NOEC was calculated to be 57.8 mg/L, both related to the endpoint growth rate and the mean measured concentration respectively.
