Additional information

Acute tests on two trophic levels (aquatic invertebrate and fish) were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of 1,1'-[(4-methylphenyl)imino]dipropan-2-ol. Fish turned out to be the most sensitive species revealing an EC50 (96h) of 17 mg/L. Thus, 1,1'-[(4-methylphenyl)imino]dipropan-2-ol is considered to be acutely harmful to aquatic organisms. Effects of 1,1'-[(4-methylphenyl)imino]dipropan-2-ol towards daphnia were found in the same range providing an EC50 (48 h) of 28.8 mg/L while algae seem to be less sensitive with an ErC50 (72h) of 245 mg/L.
