First-aid measures
General information:
Take persons to a safe place. Observe self-protection for first aid. Seek medical advice in the event of contact with this substance.
In the event allergic reactions, particularly those affecting the respiratory system, seek immediate medical advice.
After inhalation:
Keep the patient calm. If unconscious place in stable sideways position. Protect against loss of body heat. If breathing stops,
administer artificial respiration. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After contact with the skin:
Remove contaminated or soaked clothing. Wash off with plenty of water or water and soap immediately for 10-15 minutes. In
serious cases, use emergency shower immediately. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After contact with the eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes. Keep eyelids well open to rinse the whole eye surface and eyelids with
water. Seek medical advice immediately and clearly identify substance. Continue to bathe eyes during transport to medical
practitioner.
After swallowing:
If conscious, give several small portions of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice and clearly identify
substance.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Any relevant information can be found in other parts of this section.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Product can lead to sensitisation and can trigger allergies. After inhalation: treat as early as possible using cortisone spray.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
extinguishing powder , sand , alcohol-resistant foam
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
water , halones .
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products: nitrous gases , carbon monoxide .
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for fire fighting:
Use respiratory protection independent of recirculated air.
Accidental release measures
Wear personal protection equipment (see section 8). Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhaling mists and vapours.
Environmental precautions
Prevent material from entering sewers or surface waters. Contain any fluid that runs out using suitable material (e.g. earth).
Retain contaminated water/extinguishing water. Dispose of in prescribed marked containers.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Take up mechanically and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations. Absorb with a liquid binding material such as
diatomaceous earth and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations. Contain larger amounts and pump up into suitable
containers. Clean up with plenty of water.
Further information:
Eliminate all sources of ignition.
Reference to other sections
Relevant information in other sections have to be considered. This applies in particular for information given on personal
protective equipment and on disposal.
Handling and storage
General information:
Avoid exposure by technical measures or personal protective equipment.
Precautions for safe handling:
Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid formation of aerosols. In case of aerosol formation special protective measures are required
(exhausting by suction, respiratory protection). Avoid remainders of content at/on the container. Keep away from incompatible
substances in accordance with section stability and reactivity.
Precautions against fire and explosion:
Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charging. Keep away from open flames, heat and sparks.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Conditions for storage rooms and vessels:
Protect against moisture. Use unbreakable and prescribed labelled containers.
Advice for storage of incompatible materials:
none known .
Further information for storage:
Do not store in open air. Keep container dry and tightly closed. Secure container against falling over.
Specific end use(s)
No data are available.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Maximum airborne concentrations at the workplace:
not applicable
Exposure controls
Exposure in the work place limited and controlled
General protection and hygiene measures:
Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands at the end of work and before eating.
Do not inhale gases/vapours/aerosols. Keep working clothes separately.
Personal protection equipment:
Respiratory protection
Use respiratory protection where there is insufficient ventilation. In case of long or strong exposure and when sprayed: gas mask
filter ABEK .
Hand protection
protective gloves made of fluorinated rubber . At any sign of decay or chemical permeability remove gloves immediately and
replace.
Eye protection
tight fitting protective goggles . Provide work station with eye bathing equipment.
Skin protection
protective clothing . After handling make sure skin is cleansed and protected. Preventive skin protection recommended.
Exposure to the environment limited and controlled
Prevent material from entering surface waters, drains or sewers and soil.
Further information for system design and engineering measures
Observe information in section 7. Where possible, use closed or at least splash guarded arrangements. In open handling:
Vapours/aerosols should be exhausted directly at place of formation.
Stability and reactivity
If stored and handled in accordance with standard industrial practices no hazardous reactions are known.
Relevant information can possibly be found in other parts of this section.
Conditions to avoid
moisture . Keep away from incompatible substances.
Incompatible materials
Reacts with: water , alcohols , acids . Reaction causes the formation of: heat . Reacts slowly with: chloro hydrocarbons or
ketones/aldehydes . Reacts with: carbon dioxide (CO2) .
Hazardous decomposition products
If stored and handled properly: none known .
Disposal considerations
Material
Recommendation:
Dispose of according to regulations by incineration in a special waste incinerator. Small quantities may be disposed of by
incineration in an approved facility. Observe local/state/federal regulations.
Uncleaned packaging
Recommendation:
Completely discharge containers (no tear drops, no powder rest, scraped carefully). Containers may be recycled or re-used.
Observe local/state/federal regulations.
Waste Disposal Legislation Ref.No.(EC)
It is not possible to determine a waste code for this product in accordance with the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) since it is
only possible to classify it according to how it is used by the customer. The waste code is to be determined within the EU in liaison
with the waste-disposal operator.
