Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
flammable solids
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Test not under GLP
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: NF T 20-042:1985
GLP compliance:
no
Test procedure:
burning rate test over 100 mm length
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The sample is decreed not easily flammable.
Executive summary:

The aim of this test is to check if the substance N-[(9H-FLUOREN-9-YLMETHOXY)CARBONYL]-L-HISTIDYL-2-METHYLALANINE AND TRIFLUOROACETIC ACID (1:1); N.CAS 1446013 -08-6 is a flammable solid using the method NF T 20-042:1985.

The sample was analyzed as it is.

A mould 250 mm long with a triangular cross-section of inner height 10 mm and width 20 mm is used. On both sides of the mould, in the longitudinal direction, two metals sheets are mounted as lateral limitations which

extend 2 mm beyond the upper edge of the triangular cross-section.

The sample is homogenized and placed on the appropriate support. A hot flame (minimum 1000 °C) from a gas burner is applied to the end of the powder train. The flame must be maintained and propagated

independently. The sample is left to burn for a distance of 80 mm and measured the flame propagation time in the 100mm sequences. It is considered flammable if it is less than 45 seconds in time.

The sample is decreed not easily flammable.
