The surface tension of the test item was evaluated according to the EU Method A.5 (2008), using the OECD harmonised ring method (Part 1.6.4.). Surface tension of the test item in solution was measured with a Surface Tensiometer, type 20 (Cole Parmer).
At test concentration of 1 g/L of water, the test item shows corrected surface tension value of 70.2 mN/m at 20 °C ± 0.1 °C. As the surface tension was not lower than 60 mN/m, the test item should not be regarded as a surface-active material.
