Additional information

Evaporation of monopentaerythritol tetraesters and dipentaerythritol hexaesters of 2-ethylhexanoic and n-valeric acids to the atmosphere is not expected due to the low vapour pressure of the substance (VP < 0.0001 Pa at 25 °C). Thus indirect photodegradation is no relevant pathway for the substance since it is not likely to be present in the atmosphere. Abiotic hydrolysis is considered as a significant degradation pathway since it is readily biodegradable. This is supported by calculated half-lives > 1 year (HYDROWIN v2.00) for the different constituents of the target substance.
