Description of key information

The acute toxicity of 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene was tested under static conditions in a 96 -hour toxicity study on the Rare minnow (Gobiocypris rarus) in a limit test equivalent to OECD TG 203. Based on nominal concentrations, the 96-h LC50 was determined to be > 100 mg/L and the 96-h LC0 was 100 mg/L.

The acute toxicity of 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzen was tested under static conditions in a 48-h toxicity study on the water flea (Daphnia magna) following OECD TG 202. Analytical verification of the 100 mg/L test substance concentration reported a geometric mean measured concentration of 0.19 mg/L. Based on nominal concentrations, the 48-h EC50 was determined to be > 100 mg/L with a 48-h NOEC of 100 mg/L

The acute toxicity of 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene was tested under static conditions in a 72-hour algae growth inhibition study with on the Desmodesmus subspicatus in a limit test according to OECD TG 201. Based on nominal concentrations, the 72-h EC10 was determined to be > 100 mg/L.

The effect of 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene was tested under static conditions in a 3-hour activated sludge respiration inhibition study with 4 concentrations according to OECD TG 209. Based on nominal concentrations, the 3-h NOEC was determined to be 1000 mg/L.
