The adsorption/desorption study results indicate a strong adsorption of Fyrolflex Sol-DP to sediments and soil. The results from biodegradation test in water indicate that Fyrolflex Sol-DP is not readily biodegradable. Thus, although the substance is not expected to be exposed directly or indirectly to soil, it was assumed that soil compartment might be a compartment of concern. Hence, the potential toxicity of Fyrolflex Sol-DP to soil macro organisms was assessed by an Earthworm Reproduction Test. The results of the study refuted this concern: NOAEC of 1000mg/kg/ds for adults mortality and NOAEC of 1000mg/kg/ds for juvenile production indicate no concern to the soil compartment.
