Additional information

Some of the physicochemical properties of the substance were estimated by the models in EpiSuite v.4.11. Experimental results were used for the evaluation of auto-flammability, flash, melting and boiling point of the substance.

The substance is a clear colourless liquid (0.2 Gardner) at 20 °C and 1013 hPa. The freezing point was less than -70 °C and the boiling point was determined as 316.75 °C at 101325 Pa. At 25 °C, the density is 1.058 kg/dm3 and the vapour pressure is 0.00025 Pa. The surface tension is not a desired property of the substance, nor expected. Its logPow was calculated to be equal to 16.34 which means that it has a greater affinity for the organic phase. The substance is not soluble in water (2.84.10 -12 mg/l, 25 °C) and its auto-ignition temperature is equal to 357.8 °C. Its flash point is 172 °C and is not therefore considered as a flammable liquid. Lastly, the substance is not considered to have any explosive or oxidising properties.
