Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The auto-ignition temperature of the substance was assessed according to the EU Method A.15 and ASTM E659 -78. The test was performed in duplicate to determine the break point between ignition and non-ignition. Auto-ignition was evidenced by the sudden appearance of a flame inside the flask and by sharp rise in the temperature of the gas mixture. The lowest internal flask temperature at which hot-flame ignition occurs is considered as the hot-flame auto ignition temperature (AIT) of the substance in air at atmospheric pressure. Ignition delay times were measured in order to determine the ignition delay-ignition temperature relationship.

Auto-ignition temperature at 917 hPa = 357.8 °C, ignition delay time 2 s.
