Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
TETRAHYDRODICYCLOPENTADIENE
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The registered substance is not readily biodegradable and has a log octanol-water partition coefficient at 4.8, therefore the substance can be considered as potential persistent or very persistent and potential bioaccumulative. For the toxic criterion, no data is available in chronic conditions. In acute conditions, the most sensitive species is fish with a 96h-LC50 value greater than 0.1 mg/L (at 0.87 mg/L). Therefore the substance is not considered to meet the T criterion. In addition, the substance is not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008 and no other evidence of chronic toxicity was observed, as identified by the classification specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure (STOT RE Category 1 or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008.

Based on the available data, the registered substance cannot be considered as a PBT or vPvB substance.
