Description of key information

The boiling point of 85536-20-5 and xylene isomers range from 130 -150˚C at 1013 hPa. The boiling point of m-xylene is reported as 139.1˚C, for o-xylene as 144.5˚C, for p-xylene it is 138.4˚C, for ethylbenzene as 136.2˚C and for 85536-20-5 as 130 -150˚C. The mean boiling point is 140˚C and this value will be used for the risk assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Data on 85536 -20 -5 was provided by Rutgers (2009). Data on the xylene isomers and ethylbenzene was taken from the CRC Handbook (Lide, 2008) is a peer reviewed handbook and so can be considered reliable and suitable for use.
