Description of key information

The flash point of the xylene isomers and ethylbenzene ranges from 18-32˚C. The flash point of m-xylene is 27˚C, o-xylene has a flash point of 32 ˚C, for p-xylene it is 27 ˚C and for ethylbenzene it is 18°C. The mean value of 26˚C will be used for the risk assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The Merck Index (O'Neil, 2006) is a peer reviewed handbook and so can be considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint.
