Description of key information

2.8 (experimental study) at pH 6.7

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
2.8
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

An experimental study using the reverse phase HPLC method with a methodology similar to the OECD guideline No.117 following the GLP, selected as the Key Study, showed that the n-octanol/water partition coefficient was log Pow =2.8. This value indicates a low potential for heptanal to accumulate from water into organisms.
