Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Remarks on result:
no self-ignition observed up to the melting point
Conclusions:
The test material did not exhibit auto-flammability
Executive summary:

The test substance was tested for auto-flammability according to EU method A.16. The test substance was placed in an open-topped stainless-steel wire-mesh cube of side length 20 mm, and suspended centrally in an oven. The oven temperature was programmed to increase at a rate of 0.5°C per min from room temperature up to 400°C. The oven air temperature and the temperature at the center of the test sample were monitored throughout the test using fine-wire thermocouples and any signs of exothermic activity were recorded.

The test material did not exhibit auto-flammability.

No ignition was detected before the sample melted, as indicated by an endotherm at approximately 72°C.
