Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
September 2010
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: The study was performed in accordance with VDI-Richtlinien 2263, Blatt 1 and is well described.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: The Grewer Oven test; VDI-Richtlinien 2263, Blatt 1: Untersuchungsmethoden zur Ermittlung von sicherheitstechnischen Kenngrössen von Stäuben (1990)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 400 °C

No exothermic effect was recorded, with any of the 3 samples, up to 400°C. The test result is considered negative.

Conclusions:
From the Grewer Oven test (a screening test), it was concluded that the substance is not self-heating up to 400°C. Therefore no further testing is necessary in accordance with section 2.11.4.4.1 of the ECHA Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (version 4.0).

Description of key information
