Although an hydrolysis study according to OECD 111 was performed with the substance, section 2 of REACH Annex XI mention that the hydrolysis as a function of pH study (section 126.96.36.199) does not need to be performed if the substance is an UVCB, the components may hydrolyze at different rates compounding the determination of this endpoint. Therefore, no key value for chemical assessment was determined.
A hydrolysis study according to OECD 111 was performed with
4,4’-Isopropylidenediphenol, oligomeric reaction products with
1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, reaction products with butan-1-ol and
3-aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamine. However, due to low
solubility at pH 7 and pH 9 no hydrolysis rate could be determined. At
pH 4, the substance was found to be relatively stable with a half-life
time > 1 year.
In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the hydrolysis as a
function of pH study (section 188.8.131.52) does not need to be performed as
the substance is an UVCB, the components may hydrolyze at different
rates compounding the determination of this endpoint. Therefore, no key
value for chemical assessment was determined.
