First-aid measures

Inhalation
Remove from exposure. Seek fresh air immediately. Use a bag valve mask or similar device to perform artificial respiration if needed. Give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Seek medical aid.

Eye contact
Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting upper an lower eyelids. Seek medical aid.

Skin contact
Remove contaminated clothing, shoes and articles such as jewelry immediately. Wash with soap or mild detergent and large amounts of water. Seek medical attention if needed.

Ingestion
Wash out mouth with copious amounts of water provided person is conscious. If vomiting, prevent aspiration risk. Maintain adequate hydration. Seek medical aid.

Fire-fighting measures

In case of fire use carbon dioxide extinguishing media. For large fires use water spray or alcohol-type aqueous film-forming foam. Toxic vapours may be emitted. Wear personal protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Wipe up spillage or collect spillage using appropriate solid/liquid vacuum cleaner. Avoid contact and wear personal protective equipment. Place spillage in appropriate labelled container for disposal as hazardous waste. Wash spill site with water.

Handling and storage

Keep away from strong alkalis, oxidising agents and iron.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Use in closed systems. Use appropriate personal protective equipment if handling or potential for exposure arises: wear gloves: neoprene (18 mil/0.46 mm) or equivalent; wear eye glasses with side protection according to EN 166. If handling as a powder, use respirator: filtering device (EN 147) with filter type/class: P2. If handling as a powder, use local exhaust ventilation.
