Description of key information

Flash point = 90°C (experimental)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

non flammable

Additional information

As the substance is a liquid, the relevant test for flammable properties is the flash point measurement. A reliable experimental study is presented under point 4.11.

Based on the chemical structure and experience, no flammable properties are anticipated if contact with air or water, therefore studies were deemed unnecessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 criteria, the measured flash point is above the threshold value of 60°C, therefore the substance is NOT considered as a flammable liquid.

According to UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS) criteria, the measured flash point is between the threshold values of 60 and 93°C, therefore the substance is classified as FLAMMABLE LIQUID category 4.
