PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance is readily biodegradable and has a log octanol-water partition coefficient at 3.28, therefore does not meet the criterion for persistence (P) and bioaccumulation (B). For the toxic (T) criterion, the most sensitive species in acute conditions is fish with an experimental 96h-LC50 value greater than 0.1 mg/L (at 13 mg/L) obtained on an analogue material, considered adequate for read-across purposes (see IUCLID section 13 for justification). Therefore the substance is presumably not toxic (T). In addition, the substance is not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008 and no other evidence of chronic toxicity was observed, as identified by the classification specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure (STOT RE Category 1 or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008.

The registered substance could not be considered as a PBT or vPvB substance.
