Description of key information

The key ecotoxicity values are as follow:

-      Fish: 96h-LC50 was higher than 20.0 mg test material/L (nominal, deviation of measure concentrations <20%)

-      Aquatic Invertebrates: 48-h EC50 was 24 mg test material/L (measured)

-      Aquatic algae: 72-h ErC50 was 18 mg test material/L (nominal confirmed analytically),

EC10 = 10 mg/L mg test material/L (nominal confirmed analytically)

-      Microorganisms: EC50 >100 mg/L (nominal)

Additional information

Tests on acute toxicity of the registered were performed for microorganisms and for three trophic levels of aquatic species: fish, algae and crustacea. All tests were conducted under GLP conditions and are considered as valid.

The substance has also been tested in ready biodegradability testes and a prolonged ready biodegradability test, the substance was found to be not readily biodegradable.

Acute hazard classification:

The registered substance would not be classified as acute 1 to aquatic organisms in accordance with the classification of the CLP. Reasoning: all E(L)C50 values are > 1 mg/L.

Chronic hazard classification:

The registered substance would be classified as chronic 3 to aquatic organisms in accordance with the classification of the CLP. Reasoning: E(L)C50 values are comprised between 10 and 100 mg/L, the substance is not readily biodegradable and has a log Kow < 4.
