Classification

The mixture the 4:1 ratio of test item N-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]isobutyramide shows a shorter mean burning time than the 1:1 ratio.

The burning time means of all test item mixes were much greater than the burning times of the reference mixture with the ratio 3:7. Therefore, the study was terminated in accordance with the guidance on the application of the CLP criteria, decision logic 2.14 of GHS.

The test item is considered to have no oxidising properties. It should be classified as “not oxidizing” and “Not Division 5.1” following UN Handbook.

No observations arousing doubts concerning the accuracy of the results and the validity of the study were made.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met

Description of key information

The mixture the 4:1 ratio of test item N-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]isobutyramide

shows a shorter mean burning time than the 1:1 ratio.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The burning time means of all test item mixes were much greater than the burning times of

the reference mixture with the ratio 3:7.

The test item is considered to have no oxidising properties.
