First-aid measures
Excessive Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Eye Exposure: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek
medical attention if any irritation or evidence of tissue damage persists.
Skin Exposure: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. If irritation persists seek medical attention.
Accidental Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical attention.
General comments - As in all cases of potential poisoning, supportive therapy is of the utmost importance.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder or water mist may be used.
Water is not recommended.
Avoid inhalation of smoke and fumes. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTION: Gloves (natural rubber if possible) should be worn when handling spillages. No smoking. Avoid naked flames or other potential sources of ignition (eg. electrical equipment). Avoid skin contamination and inhalation of vapour. Good personal washing routines should be followed after accidental releases. Ensure adequate ventilation in working areas following accidental releases.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Do not discharge directly into drains, into soil or into the aquatic environment.
METHODS FOR CLEANING-UP: Any absorbent used for cleaning up spillage should be disposed promptly, preferably by incineration as some cases of spontaneous combustion of rags soaked with similar materials have been reported. Gross spillages should be contained by the use of sand or inert powder, and disposal of this should be in accordance with Government Regulations.

STORAGE: It is good general practice to store in closed, preferably full, containers away from heat sources, and protected from extremes of temperature. Do not re-use the empty container.

- Respiratory protection: where ventilation may be inadequate, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Hand protection: where gloves are indicated, natural rubber is the preferred material.
- Eye protection: where eye protection is indicated, safety goggles are recommended.
- Skin protection: depending on working situation these should include wearing protective clothing, which will also limit the odour contamination of personal clothing. Good personal washing routines should be followed.

Disposal considerations
Residual quantities of the product should be treated according to the instructions given under points 6, 7 and 8 of the SDS. Wastes should be eliminated according to national or regional regulatory requirements currently in force. The generation of hazardous wastes in terms of quantity and hazardousness should be minimized, by disposing them as close to the source of generation as possible, thus reducing the movement of hazardous wastes. For the disposal of wastes and packaging material, the services of a licensed waste management company is advised, with recycler, reclaimer, landfill, incinerator or other thermal destruction devices.
