Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No adverse effects noted at the limit of solubility. The LL50 after 96 hours was > 5.00 mg/L (nominal loading rate of the test item).

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test item Disperse Blue ANT to fish (zebrafish) was determined according to the principles of the OECD-Guideline for Testing of Chemicals No. 203 (1992) and EU Council Regulation No. 440/2008/ C.1 (2008).

A static test with one application at test start was conducted with thesaturated solution and further four dilution levels out of the saturated solution in a geometrical series with a dilution factor of 2:6.25 - 12.5 - 25.0 - 50.0 - 100 % of the saturated solution. The loading rates were based on a proposal of the sponsor and correspond to nominal test item concentrations of:

0.3125 - 0.625 - 1.25 - 2.50 – 5.00 mg/L. Duration of the test was 96 hours. 7 test organisms were exposed to the loading rates and the control. Water quality parameters temperature, pH-value and oxygen-saturation measured at 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours were within the acceptable limits.The LL50after 96 hours was > 5.00 mg/L.

The measured concentrations of the test item at the start of the exposure (0 hours) were below the LOQ of 0.5 mg/L of the test item in the saturated solution and in the control. Concentrations of the test item in the tested loading rates were considered to be all below the LOQ throughout the exposure. Due to this fact, analytical monitoring of the other dilution levels and sampling at the end of the exposure was not carried out in agreement with the sponsor.

All effect values were based on the nominal loading rates of the test item Disperse Blue ANT.The results are summarized in the following table:
