Description of key information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient was determined as log10(Pow) = 3.8 +/- 0.3.

Additional information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Pow) was determined by equilibrating mixtures of n-octanol, water, and test substance and analyzing the n-octanol and aqueous phases for test substance using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-UV). Due to the low water solubility of the test substance, resulting in low test substance concentrations observed in the aqueous phases (which were generally lower than the quantitation limit of 0.3 μg/mL), the results permitted only an estimated Pow value to be reported of 7000 +/- 4000 at 25 +/- 1°C (log10(Pow) = 3.8 +/- 0.3).
