(a) Thermal sensitivity (effect of flame)
No fragmentation of the steel tube occured in any of the six tests. Butyl benzotrieazole sodium salt was found not to explode under the effect of flame (limiting diameter >1.5 mm).

Butyl benzotriazole sodium salt did not explode or burst into flames in any of the six tests. the test compound was therefore found not to be sensitive to shock (sensitivity >40 Nm).
(c) Mechanical sensitivity (friction)
Butyl benzotriazole sodium salt did not explode, burst into flame or exhibit crepitation in any of the six tests and is therefore not sensitivite to friction (sensitivity >360N)
