First-aid measures

General advice: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Keep under medical surveillance. In case of problems : Hospitalise.

Skin contact: Wash immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with soap and water. If significant contact: Keep under medical surveillance.

Eye contact: Wash well-open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with water. Consult an ophthalmologist.

Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Hospitalise.

Protection of first-aiders:In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Protective suit

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder, Foam

Specific hazards: Thermal decomposition giving toxic products : Sulphur oxides, Tin oxides, Carbon oxides (by combustion)

Specific methods: Cool containers / tanks with water spray. In case of fire nearby, remove exposed containers.

Special protective actions for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Evacuate non-essential staff and those not equipped with individual protection apparatus. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours.Remove all sources of ignition. Wear appropriate gloves and glasses. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.

Environmental precautions:

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Do not let product enter drains. Dam up with sand or inert earth (do not use combustible materials). Flush with water and recover for later processing.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:

Recovery: Pump into a clean labelled emergency container. Absorb on an inert support (if liquid). Shovel into suitable container for disposal.

Elimination: Recycle if possible. Destroy absorbed product by incineration at an approved waste disposal site only In accordance with local and national regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:Technical measures/Precautions:

Storage and handling precautions applicable to products: Liquid,  irritant, dangerous for environment. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery. Provide showers, eye-baths.

Safe handling advice: Great cleanliness in work areas is a necessary and important factor for safety.

Hygiene measures:Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes. Avoid inhalation of vapours. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.Wash hands after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Protect from heat. Protect against light. Provide a catch-tank in a bunded area. Provide impermeable floor. Provide earthing and safe electrical equipment.

Incompatible products:Strong oxidizing agents
