Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

SHORT-TERM TOXICITY

For TAED and DAED short-term aquatic ecotoxicity studies for all three trophic levels (fish, daphnia and algae) are available as well as studies on sludge respiration inhibition.

TAED

Fish:       OECD 203 LC50 (96h) > 500 mg/L

Daphnia: OECD 202 EC50 (48h) > 1000 mg/L

Algae:     OECD 201 ErC50 (72h) > 1000 mg/L, ErC10 (72h) 655 mg/L

Sludge:    OECD 209 EC50 ( 3h) > 1000 mg/L

DAED

Fish:       OECD 203 LC50 (96h) > 1000 mg/L

Daphnia: OECD 202 EC50 (48h) > 1000 mg/L

Algae:     OECD 201 ErC50 (72h) > 1000 mg/L, ErC10 (72h) > 1000 mg/L

Sludge:    OECD 209 EC50 (3h)   > 1000 mg/L

The short-term ecotoxicity data were used for the derivation of the PNEC aqua intermittent release (see Section 6 TAED DAED PNEC). As the TAED OECD 203 study has not shown any effects at the highest tested concentration (500 mg/L) for the PNEC aqua intermittent derivation 1000 mg/L was used.

LONG-TERM TOXICITY

TAED and DAED, Read across for DAED for 21d Daphnia

For reasons given in the waiving statements Section 6.1.2 no long-term fish toxicity tests were carried out. Instead a TAED long-term invertebrate study with daphnia was established. This 21d daphnia study with TAED was used for read across to DAED (see Section 6.1.4) for justification.

TAED

Daphnia:  OECD 211 NOEC (21d)     500 mg/L (most sensitive: adult mortality)

Algae:      OECD 201 ErC10 (72h)      655 mg/L

The algae ErC10 (72h) and the daphnia NOEC (21d) were used to derive the PNEC aqua for continous release (see Section 6 TAED DAED PNEC).
