Description of key information

According to structural properties, hydrolysis is not expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Carbon-carbon bonds are too stable (high bond energy) to be cleaved by nucleophilic substitution. Thus, hydrocarbons, including alkenes, are not subject to hydrolysis [OECD SIDS 2007].
