Additional information

There are neither aquatic nor terrestric studies for bioaccumulation of isooctene available. The assessment of bioaccumulation based on the 1-octanol/water partition coefficient of 4.06 [BASF AG 2007]. Regarding the 1-octanole/water partition coefficient, accumulation of isooctene in organisms is possible. Otherwise the physico-chemical properties and fate of C8 – C13 olefins indicate that there would be limited environmental exposure because of volatility, biodegradability and limited solubility [OECD SIDS 2007].
