Additional information

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VIII, No. 9.3.1., Column 2, adsorption/desorption screening does not need to be conducted if the substance has a low potential for adsorption As the submission substance is of high hydrophilicity, no testing is required.

The main components of the submission substance are of inorganic nature, are highly hydrophilic and will ultimately dissociate into ions. The organic complex ligand humate, which comprise <1% (w/w) of the submission substance, also is highly hydrophilic, with a logPow of -2.16. A study performed to determine Koc for the humic acid, potassium salt revealed a very low absorption coefficient.

As the submission substance is of high hydrophilicity, no further testing is required.
