First-aid measures
First aid measures
First-aid measures after inhalation:
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. - Where
appropriate artificial ventilation. - Get immediate medical advice/attention.
First-aid measures after skin contact:
Immediately remove any wetted clothing, shoes or stockings. - After contact with skin, wash
immediately with plenty of water and soap. - Get medical advice/attention.
First-aid measures after eye contact:
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes
holding eyelids apart. Subsequently consult an ophthalmologist.
First-aid measures after ingestion:
Rinse mouth immediately and drink large quantities of water. - Get medical advice/attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Fire fighting measures
Extinguishing agents - fire fighting instructions:
Dry chemical powder - Carbon dioxide (CO2) - Atomized water - Alcohol resistant foam
Reactivity hazard:
Thermal decomposition can lead to the escape of irritating gases and vapours. - On burning:
release of toxic and corrosive gases/vapours (sulphur oxides)
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reason:
High power water jet.
Specific hazards:
In the event of fire, cool tanks with water spray - Burning produces obnoxious and toxic fumes -
Contaminated fire-fighting water must be collected separately. - Remove according to the
regulations.
Personal protection (Emergency response):
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical resistant suit.
Other information (fire-fighting):
Cool containers / tanks with spray water if possible
Accidental release measures
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions
Personal protection (Emergency response):
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical resistant suit.
Handling the product:
Avoid contact with skin, eye and clothing. - Do not breathe vapour. - Wash contaminated clothing
immediately.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions:
Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment.
Disposal
Disposal:
Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding
agents). - Collect in closed containers for disposal.
Methods for cleaning:
After cleaning, flush away traces with water
