Main Test: Using thermal analysis, no endothermic peaks were detected in the temperature range between 25 °C and 400 °C from which boiling could be deduced. Starting at about 112 °C an endothermic reaction was observed. The exothermic reaction started at about 280 °C and was caused by the decomposition of the test item. After the experiment the test item had lost about 28% of its mass and was still a powder, but black in color. The atmospheric pressure during the measurements was 98.2 kPa.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item does not boil under the conditions of the test. Decomposition of FAT 40840/A TE started at about 280°C
Executive summary:

The Study was carried out in accordance with the OECD guideline 103 (Boiling Point / Boiling Range). Standard commercially available apparaturs was used in compliance with the manufacturer's operating instructions.
