Additional information

A toxicokinetic assessment has been performed based on available physico-chemical properties and toxicological data of the substance PTE.

The substances that comprise the diphenylmethane category all have similar molecular structures and do therefore possess a similar functionality. It is therefore a valid assumption that the substances of this category will behave in a reasonably predictable manner, and with respect to physico-chemical, ecotoxicological/environmental and toxicological properties application of the read-across methodology is a valid assumption. The toxicokinetic assessment of PTE is therefore also applicable to 1,1 -DPE.

For the risk assessment oral absorption is set at 50%, dermal absorption at 50% and inhalation absorption at 100%.
