Description of key information

Concerning environmental fate and pathways only information concerning hydrolysis is available.

Information on hydrolysis was derived from the water solubility study. It was shown that after 14 days, 101.35 mg of the substance was decomposed in water. This plateau was reached after 6 days. This resulted in a hydrolyis rate of less than 6 days.

Silicic acid, calcium salt is an inorganic substance and therefore not subject to biodegradation or bioaccumulation. As the substance is inorganic, it has no log Kow and has a low potential for adsorption.
