Description of key information

The target chemical 3-diethylaminophenol and the read-across chemical resorcinol belong to the common category of substituted phenols. Weight of evidence studies for resorcinol indicate that the chemical is expected to have low potential for bio-accumulation considering that it is in most cases rapidly absorbed, metabolized and majority of the administered chemical (over 90%) is excreted out of the living system through urine. Thus, it is expected that 3-diethylaminophenol shall also exhibit low bio-accumulation potential.

Bioaccumulation potential:
low bioaccumulation potential

Additional information

3-diethylaminophenol is not expected to bio accumulate in organisms similar to its category member resorcinol as these chemicals are expected to be rapidly excreted out of the living system upon oral or sub-cutaneous administration.
