Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted as the substance is hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9 (half-life < 1 hour).

Additional information

A study does not need to be conducted as the substance readily hydrolysis. However, water solubility is needed to perform the risk assessment. In accordance with ECHA Guidance R.7a, v2.3 (Dec. 2013), p. 52, the general solubility equation (GSE) is appropriate to estimate water solubility: log Saq = 0.5 - log Kow - 0.01*(MP - 25)

Considering that the substance is readily hydrolysed water solubility was estimated for the hydrolysis product. Log Kow (1.78) and MP (66.5°C) as disseminated by ECHA were used and water solubility of the hydrolysis product was calculated to be 195.75 mg/L (substance itself: 35.76 mg/L). This value was taken forward to the risk assessment.
