Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity of L-tryptophan to Eisenia foetida was investigated in a study conducted similar to the filter paper contact test laid down in the OECD Guideline 207 (Earthworm, Acute Toxicity Tests, 1984). The 48 h LC50 for L-Tryptophan was found to be >1000 µg/cm². According to guideline, 1000 µg/cm² is the highest concentration to be tested.
