Justification for classification or non-classification

No genotoxic carcinogenicity is expected, because alpha Terpineol is considered to be negative in all three standard in vitro genotoxicity studies. Therefore classification for carcinogenicity of the substance is not warranted in accordance with EU Directive 67/548 (DSD) and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
