Only one valid data is available for the aquatic compartment (LC50(96h)=4.68 µg/L for O.mykiss). All the available data, even if quoted reliability 4, confirm this result and suggest that Phosphine is very toxic to aquatic organism, with toxicity threshold stricly below 1 mg/L.

As indicated by the current harmonised classification and labelling, phosphine is N R50, very toxic to aquatic organisms (29th ATP published as Directive 2004/73/EC). Indeed, considering that Phosphine is not stable in water the R53 phrase is not relevant for the substance.
